Define the product and intended use
Start with the material: cocopeat blocks, coconut husk chips, coir fiber or coconut shell charcoal. Include the application and requested format. Avoid using a broad term such as “coir” when you mean a specific pith grade, chip size or fiber format.
Separate essential acceptance requirements from preferences. If you do not yet know a specification, mark it “to discuss” instead of copying an unrelated supplier’s figures. Tell the supplier whether you need a sample, a trial proposal or a quotation for a commercial shipment.
Choose product-specific specification fields
| Product | Details to discuss |
|---|---|
| Cocopeat | Treatment, particle distribution, EC and pH methods, moisture, block weight and expansion procedure |
| Husk chips | Chip-size range, fines and fiber, treatment, EC and pH methods, block format |
| Coir fiber | Fiber requirements, moisture, impurities, bale weight and dimensions |
| Shell charcoal | Lump format and size, moisture, ash and other analysis required for the intended use |
These are discussion fields, not a claim that every grade or analysis is available. Confirm the offered specification, measurement method and supporting evidence for the selected supply.
State the quantity and timing clearly
Provide the intended shipment quantity, unit and frequency. Distinguish one trial from a planned repeat programme without implying a binding purchase commitment. Give a preferred shipment window and say whether it is flexible.
For Agritropic, the normal minimum order is one 40-foot container. Trial orders can be negotiated; mixed-product containers are not available. Lead time depends on the chosen factory’s queue and capacity and is confirmed per quotation. Do not assume a fixed delivery date from a general website description.

Connect packing and delivery requirements
Use the relevant product page as a starting point, then identify any additional requirements: unit weight, wrapping, straps, pallets, labels and shipping marks. Ask the importer or destination adviser to confirm any destination-specific packaging and documentation requirements before the order is finalised.
State the destination country and port. Agritropic offers FOB and CIF subject to quotation; ask for the named port and included costs to be explicit in the offer. Usual loading ports are Tanjung Priok or Tanjung Perak, but the port may change with circumstances and must be confirmed. This guide does not replace customs or freight advice.
Agree the approval evidence before shipment
Request the sample and test-document scope you need, including sample identity, test methods, units and acceptance criteria. Agritropic provides COA and sample testing before shipment; the exact evidence should correspond to the agreed order specification. Do not infer an unlisted certification or independent laboratory service.
Samples are available on request. Charges are confirmed individually, and sample shipping arrangements and costs are negotiable. For growing media, use our sample checklist and EC report guide to make your request more precise.
